Bill was a good friend and a great guy. We went to the spring semi-formal together, I think senior year. He was soooo smart and dreamed of being a doctor. We lost touch after high school so I don't know if those dreams ever came true.
Oops. I just went to the main In Memory page and saw that Bill died in 1966. Now I am doubly sad. So much promise and so short a life.
Does anyone know what happened? He died so young. We shared a Modern History class with A Futorian, and he was so smart, so involved in the class. What a loss. Vadonna McFalls Berry
I dated him during junior year and we went to the prom together. Remember the great after prom trip to SIU!? He went off to Princeton on a scholarship and I saw him when he was home for semester break, Dec. 1964. After that, I moved to Champaign-Urbana and never heard from him again. When I noticed that he had not "checked in" on the reunion website, I did a Google look on Will and after some dead ends, I saw a little blurb saying he passed away in Princeton, NJ in 1966. No mention of what happened. What a shock to find out he is no longer with us. Maybe someone can dig a bit more and find out how he died.....
I am shocked that Bill died, and so long ago, and such a good guy. I remember that he once went out for football, which was tough in our class, just to prove he could do it.
