I am certain that most of you will remember Helen Kruse Paul from either grade school, junior high school, and/or high school. Her contagious smile and sense of humor brightened the lives of all those with whom she came in contact. I had the honor and pleasure to be part of Helen's life since junior high school. We were sisters in spirit and eventually sisters-in-law, a bond that was never broken throughout 50+ years. Helen loved deeply and completely. She and her brother Gus had an enviable sibling relationship that saw her through her most difficult hours as she fought lung cancer, a battle she lost in February, 2011 after 18 months. Her two daughters, Stacy and Kristin, and her ex-husband Bill Paul were with her when she passed away. She maintained contact with many of her Rich East classmates throughout the years and she will be at the reunion in spirit.
